1. The service

SquaredAway reads a bank-transaction file you provide and generates a categorized profit & loss draft to help you and your accountant. Results are a first-pass estimate generated automatically and may contain errors or misclassifications.

2. Not tax, legal, or accounting advice

We are not a CPA, tax preparer, or law firm. We do not prepare, sign, e-file, or submit tax returns. Nothing produced by SquaredAway constitutes tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your returns and for having them reviewed and filed by a qualified professional.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide files you are authorized to use.
• Review and correct categorizations — especially items we flag for your input.
• Do not include sensitive identifiers (full account numbers, SSNs, passwords).

4. Accuracy & no warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that results are accurate, complete, or suitable for filing. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SquaredAway and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any tax penalties, interest, or losses arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the prior 12 months.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service, attempt to breach its security, or upload data you don't have the right to process.

7. Changes & termination

We may update these terms or discontinue the service at any time. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
